Newbie Help

Sup guys, Im a newbie to stuntin kinda...but I kno absolutely nothing about motards...got a couple street bikes but might be selling onea...I was thinkin about pickin up a dirt bike for practice/fun.

What would be a good bike to start out on? I want something thats not too small (no fiddies) and nothing to big (my boys kawi 250 dirt bike is waaaay too tall) Im about 5'6"

I've heard good things about the CRF150, and I kno a lot of you are rocking the DRZ400s and all the CRFs, but I dont kno what the strong points of each one are and the weak points?

So can ya help a lost brotha out?

Re: Newbie Help

Keep in mind that as a motocross bike as 19 and 21 inch tires with a a tall knobby profile that putting 17" motard rims on the same bike will drop it considerably.

Re: Newbie Help

i've got a XR100, i put a 16 inch street tire on the rear, and 19 inch street tire on the front, so i guess you could call it a "motard"

you wanna stunt it correct?

the older XR100's got for like $500 on ebay all day, of course if your looking for something a lil more pleasing to the eyes, the 03 and up CRF100's look alot nicer.

Re: Newbie Help

nice nice...those motard rims are madd $$$...im so poor I cant even pay attention hahaha.

How do the 100's sit? I honestly cant ride a fiddy...i got bad hips and knees and my joints all lock up after 10 minutes. and like I said the full size bikes sit too tall for my preferance.i need something that sits inbetween.

Re: Newbie Help

the hundo is bigger than a fiddy, alot bigger infact. sit up higher and much more comfortable riding position (not eatin your knees).

a hundo or 150 sounds perfect for you.... maybe look at th 125's from suz/kawa/yama tho..

Re: Newbie Help

the ktm 450s and 560s are good for racing, they may not be the best for stunting, they need rebuilds after less than 40hours, and if you beat on them they will break lol.
