Re: Suzuki 400SM

I got the bike on-hold. I'm hoping to get it out by TUE night. I'm ****ing happy!!!

The first thing that I want to change is the exhaust.

Re: Suzuki 400SM

Personally I think the 400SM has no *****. I got mine tuesday last week and love it but it does have no *****. I plan on going with the 3x3 mod and engine work as the louder the pipe the more attention I will be getting and its not like im getting any now jumping curves and ****.

Re: Suzuki 400SM

Yea its underpowered but it reliable as fuuuu!! I did the 3x3 mod and jet kit plus a full yoshi and i only pulled on my bro with the same bike by like 2 bikes. It feels a lot more powerful but it really isnt. 2 bikes is a lot i guess but not much. All i know is I am having big issues with 12 oclock wheelies. I can get them their all day long but it stalls out. Before when the bike was stock i could rock 4 MPH wheelies but now all i can do is coasters. The bike shuts off at 12 ever since the Jet kit 3x 3 mod and pipe. I think i need to mess with the float. Several other DRZ stunters are having the same issue after the mods.
Hope this helps

I already looked at the other thread with plate kit, that's what got me here, hehehehe.

Impreza
Any stall has to come from the jet kit, not the exhaust. I'm not going to do the juet kit, atleast not yet.

I know the bike isn't the fastest or strongest, but this bike is exactly what I was looking for. A great bike to get back to the sport.

Re: Suzuki 400SM

but i just read this, on ktmtalk, next year the 06 625 smc is gonna cost about 1000$ more than it did this year, and it is unchanged, but this year only about 100 625s came into the states. They say they will be so much more due to exchange rates.

Re: Suzuki 400SM

my DRZ toped out at 101mph!! I might get ride of the jet kit or mess with the float! The XR 400 is a DOG compared to a DRZ!! THe front of the bike is not heavy nor does it feel heavy. I can rock stoppies on both the fiddy and DRZ! The DRZ has much better brakes

I got a SICK frame for the Fiddy! Im all about Dirt JUmps now on fiddy's. No more street stunting for me on the fiddy atleast. Only big bikes!!

Hit me up if u have any ?'s

Re: Suzuki 400SM

DRZ is the most well rounded ***** to the wall fun motard out on the market period.

everything else is over priced or under powered.

this thing needs nothing and you just jump on and rock it.

Re: Suzuki 400SM

BYOSM..loose the fear of falling back.Keep practicing little by little, dont rush.
The most important rule is ...COVER your back break at all times.
