I know that they just barely rode it in a exhibition in reno at the ama supermotoraces. It is not legal for ama because they only allow single cylinders , it is a V-twin 450.

 

S1 and S2 world championship rules allow prototype machines to run for one year only. The Aprilia RXV 450 took the S2 (450cc) championship this year.

UK rules are/were different again, you get some weird stuff cropping up. Flat-trackers with front brakes, and a few years back, a guy did the NORA championship on a Triumph speed triple.
