ok so Darrick wrecked in his run last night, he had a few bobbles in his run so he wanted to make up by coming in hot on his circles, he pushed himself too hard went super fast into a sit down circle and low sided, crash cage squished his leg into the track. Thought it was just a bad bruise last night woke up this morning and decided to take him to the doctor, so after the x rays, yes he has a broken foot, no pressure on it for 2 weeks, he has to wear a shoe thing, if he stays off it doc said it should heal in about 4 weeks, 1st ever broken bone from stunt riding in 6 years, i guess it was his time... it could have been worse, his freakkin foot is so swollen, it's a flintstone foot, had a good time besides the heat, baby Demi got a little hot. Good to see everyone one!

ok i made it home......im not sure where to start but it was a completely fun time i had so much fun i dont feel that bad about crashing,,i do feel bad about taking out a few bikes in the process so for that i am sorry guys please dont send any cute furry hand puppets to kill me. i would say my back is a little sore but compared to a broken hand or broken foot i came out pretty good exept i dont have any pain killers like you fools. a big thanks to thomas for having me and much love and respect to all you crazy *******.... see ya next time

glad you guys went to the doctor though, we were kinda worried when you guys just packed up and left...it was so absolutely sick to hang out with all of the ATL family at a comp,for sure need to do that more often...

dude he barely made it out the door to work this morning, riding will be a few weeks, yes our dr is open on sundays so I took him, We left so quickly cause I didn't want to drive late at night since I was already so tired, Demi got too fussy so Darrick wound up driving part of the way cause I had to jump in the back with her, I was so glad to be home after all that. Yes we will plan to do more comps this year, and might have to bring the older kids next time to babysit the younger ones LOL

Just heard about this from Lorne sunday. Sorry to hear it is a break. I am sure he will heal quickly. Let us know if there is anything we can do. And of course cheap beer is always an option for a painkiller!

Also in practice Eric Stafford from Atlanta took a spill and had a foot peg injure his ankle, but was able to take private transportation to the hospital.

actually DARREK STAFFORD didnt even compete,,he uses his stunt double erik for the big events that way while everyone thinks he is injured he is still practicing

 

it's true, i am actually riding with darrick tonight while eric gets bed rest and eats tabs!
