This is a thread titled "XDL Update" so it made it seem like you were referring to XDL. Being that I'm one of the XDL judges, I repsonded. All good

I don't give a **** who you are, what you can do, what you've done, etc.... I judge you by your performance THAT DAY IN THOSE 3 MINS, period. I like to talk to the competitors to see their response to their scores and if people disagree. So far I feel like I do a good job and no one has said anything to me yet. If you want advice on how to approve your score, then just ask me. I'm not giving out any special secrets to win. The rules are there for everyone to see. I personally would like to see people improve their runs and make it more difficult for me to judge. It makes the competition that more exciting. :YEAH

That wasn't meant to read like that. Lot riding is where the progression happens. It just doesn't progress the public image (where the money comes from that pays riders). Most riders don't throw new tricks in their runs. They are practiced in parking lots!!

You can have a list of tricks on there but just remember, if youre looking down at your tank half the time its taking away from your run.

Theres no official rule saying that you WILL lose points for having a list or even looking at it. However, if a rider spends half his run looking down at his list I'm sure that will be taken into consideration for the overall score.

Re: XDL Update

ok i agree with that since confidence and style are all taken into consideration along with overall delivery and presentation even looking down at a stopwatch taped to the bike can come across wrong,,damn i didnt know it was on that level

Haha, you don't know Jbrown too well do you?!? I think that is where he develops most of his tricks, right there in competition, lol.
