What's up Chicago? We at the CC have been attempting to work out our schedule for 03 and have noticed the lacking quantity and quality of Chicagoland area stunt shows. We would like to host a few events ranging from local competitions and rides to an ALL OUT CHI TOWN STUNT FESTIVAL.

I think it would be cool to get as many people, teams, orginazations, sponsors, etc. involved, from many different walks of life. Everyone from stunters to musicians to car enthuisiasts to dirt bike riders to YOU NAME IT.

this thread is a starting point to get some input on what you all would like to see.

heres my list:

SPECTATORS preferbly most of them WOMEN!! (my major complaint w/ most show I attend. drive ?? hours to the middle of no where, OH, FL, some BS. AND NO WOMEN!!, Chi town is huge and theres plenty of hoes .)
Pro Stunt Demonstration (couple teams, no competition)
Amatuer Competition (qualifying, finals, pay outs)
Fiddy Competition (for tha hustlaz)
STUNTLIFE BOOTH!!!
FMX demonstration
Import Car Show
Underground Rap Battle (could be huge if we get the word out)
Local Bands (whoever)
BEER

good idea ...like the whole girl thing ,there is a good majority of women here , i think it would be out of hand ,u can have a fun event like gorilla scrapin with out a scrape bar with a stock tail see who can hit it the hardest , this would be good

how bout 3 wheeliers.....i gots 1mph wheelies on thoes damn things ................we really need to do something like this to put chicago on da map.. How bout something at one of the race tracks by you guys rt.66 or the oval track SOMETHING...........

we are dead serious about this. we just need to follow up and get this thing in writing.

I think 66 would be the best place for A BIG event, and if we can get ahold of the right contacts it shouldn't be that hard.

Seriously, we need a stunt show out here, the only one that I really know about is the OLX stunt fest last year, eather there arnt to many stunt shows out here, or im just to dumb to find any, BTW, burnout contest is a must, longest endo... if the track/road is long enough, HEHEHE. longest coaster maybe

If you want some top notch FMX guys let me know. I used to handle all the LBZ team riders, and could put a call in for you. I am not sure what they charge now for FMX shows though.

 

didn't FMX do a show in chicago at the allstate arena? i went to some mx show....just can't remember which one. hey shaggy....you were there.....was it fmx?

 

I live in Joliet and have spoken with the city councel and they are trying to revamp the downtown with events and festivals. At the city car shows they have a closed area and let people do burnouts. The cars range from full blown nitros to farm boy beatup pickup trucks. There is a hot rod cruise in every thursday as well. I would bet my left nut they would be down for professional show of some sorts and there is plenty of room where the car show is. As for RT 66, they are owned by a corporation with little local interest.

AS A SPECTATOR TO THE SPORT, I HAVE NOTICED A COUPLE OF THINGS LATELY OUT HERE.....LOTZ OF STUNTA'S HAVE LOST SOME INTEREST DUE TO THE CRACK DOWN FROM THE PO-PO'S. WE NEED A SHOW OUT HERE, AND IT NEEDS TO BE REALLY GOOD THATS WHAT I KNOW FO SHO!!!

I THINK THAT ANYONE WHO KNOWS ANYONE NEEDS TO PULL SOME STRINGS, GET IN GOOD!!! THE SHOW LAST YEAR AT CHICAGO HEIGHTS WAS THE FIRST HERE IN CHI-TOWN THAT I KNOW OF. IT WAS A WELL PUT TOGETHER SHOW, BUT I KNOW WE ALL CAN DO BETTA:D
