Me and a few friends are coming up to IL Feb 6-9... we are going to the bike show on Saturday at Rosemont... we are looking for a hotel but we dont want to stay in actual downtown Chicago and we decided that we were not staying with friends in Aurora.... sooo I work for a Renaissance/Marriott branch and we will get to stay for free for the weekend.. I have picked out three hotels but I am trying to figure out which on is the best and wanted to see if you guys would help me out.. there are only about 15 minutes from Chicago .. here they are

Renaissance Oak Brook Hotel- 2100 Spring Road Oak Brook, IL

Chicago Marriott Oak Brook - 1401 West 22nd St Oak Brook, IL

Chicago Marriott Suites- 1500 Opus Place Downers Grove, IL

we are trying to find one that will be an easy drive to Chicago. Aurora, and Rosemont .... I have seen pics but wanted some advice from ppl that know the area and stuff

FYI - it appears that both the Oak Brook ones are the same place. Just looked on mapquest for which would be closer for ya. And yes, I'd go with Oak Brook as well. Also, it's right next to the Oak Brook Mall, nice mall, but it'll be cold cuz it's an outdoor mall, (ya know, for walking around). Anyway, have fun! Maybe see ya there.

How about the Marriott on higgins and river rd.... The one that's about 3 blocks from the bike show?

I saw that one it is on 8535 West Higgins Road... would that be a bad place to get in and out of in Chicago... we are going to be in and out ALOT while we are in town and wanted something that was I guess you could say "easy access" for us because we will be coming and going alot....

well it's not that close to downtown but it's not bad, you can jump on I-90 right there and it'll take you straight into downtown I'd guess maybe 12 miles?

Trust me....that is where you want to be. This is minutes from where I live...its very very nice. PIMP (there is not 1 house on Oak Brook that is not $1 Mil...who cares buts its a really nice area)

The hotel is 15 minutes from the IMS show

I will even come hang out with you and ur friends as a bonus. :YEAH

If you do go downtown, take the train. ***** driving. There is a CTA station right down the street from the convention center. Parking is $1.50 and the ride downtown is the same. Or take I-88 to 290 and take it to Desplaines Ave. Go North 1 block and turn into the CTA parking lot -same deal.
