(not just the comics). some people deserve the worst. Q doesnt. that was my point. in a battle of witts, please dont come un-armed.

any info yet? i have heard conflicting info lately. have heard he was going to have the surgery, but havent heard how it went. the i also heard that they werent going to be able to do it, cause it would kill him to do the surgery. anyone know for sure whats goin on??? please let us all know!!!

 

Well, I have an update but I really hate to post it. Apparently, Q went to Northwestern and before surgery they did some MRIs and tests to asses the situation. The team of doctors told Q that if they performed the surgery, there'd be no guarantees to the success or outcome. They also told him that if they did perform the surgery he would lose his ability to talk (which has always been Q's greatest strength). He opted to not have the surgery since there were no expectations of a "cure". The doctors are going to start him on a steriod and IF it takes, it can possibly prolong his life. If the steroid does not take, the prognosis is not good. It's absolutely horrible to even think about, but the doctors have not given him very good news. Bottom line - the doctors told him if the steroids did not take that he has 6 months or less to live. I'm sure we all hate hearing this news, but let's all please think of Q and how the news is affecting him. Let's not dwell on this when we are around him and cherish the friendship he has so unselfishly given to all of us. Let's keep him in our prayers and don't forget to thank God for sending us such a great person.

This news came from F4i John who spoke to Q directly.

Q is still planning on getting married and I think now is the time to put serious plans together for a get together and putting together a benefit so we can give him some money as a wedding gift. There was talk about buying him something nice but I say let him spend it on whatever he thinks will make his life more enjoyable.

man. that is horrible news. I hope the steroid thing works for the better. I couldnt imagine him going through the surgery and not being able to talk. Along with his friendship, that is another one of his great traits. And that is to talk, or bullsh*t, . As we all know Q can do well. You are right though Shaggy. We should worry more about keeping him happy then worring about how bad things are. Worring about stuff doesnt get anyone any where. And I'm definitely game for some sort of benefit. WHEN, he gets out. We should through him a party, and hand it to him in an envelope. Let him find a way to spend it. Here's to you Q. Good things happen to good people.

I'm in the process of setting up a benifit for him at Fuddruckers by Fox Valley. I'll post more details as I get them. So far it's in the works though. Fudruckers will print out a flyer that I will get duplicated. After I duplicate it I post it on here and pass it out. Anyone that goes to Fudruckers on that day with the flyer will have 15% of their net food bill automatically donated to Q. Q will get $15 out of every hundred we spend so bring your appetites!
