HOLY COW....Josh... Glad to hear you're ok. I don't look at this forum very often, so I had no idea!
Hooters is a must over Christmas. I'll be out of town until the 27th, so let's try to plan it after that!
Can't wait to see all you guys--

Re: went down today....
update:
well..surgery went without any problems. From what i was told, 2 of the bones had already started to heal when they went in, so the doc was glad i was there when i was. I guess he ended up having to rebreak those two because they were healing wrong. So now, I have 2 screws, and just 2 pins in my foot. The other toe started to heal correctly, so he only had to tweak it a bit to put it where it needed to go without having to put a pin in. I'm not sure how many of you have had surgery similiar to this, but it was painful as hell the first 2 days after. It still burns a little, but I am doing better. The doctor also gave me an extra strength vicodin (i guess it has more vicodin in it then other stuff), as well as a sleeping pill All of which seem to be helping me out alot.
thanks again for all of your responses. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Re: went down today....
Yeah, I was really worried for ya that you would have to wait untill after the holiday for your surgery. I was just talking about it to a friend the other day as a matter of fact. I was saying that if you had to wait, they would probably have to re-break your bones in order to set them properly, and how much that would suck. Wow, that's weird they still had to do that.
Well, at least the surgery is done - surgerys are NO FUN!
An old friend of mine had been in an accident and ended up having to have a bunch of metal plates under his face as his eye socket pretty much had to be rebuilt. He had so much metal in his face that magnets would stick to his face. Man, that won ALOT of bar bets .... have you tried that yet
Of course, occasionally he would pass out when around high power lines too - so it wasn't all "fun".
Vicodine is Hydrocodone and Acetomitopehn (Tylanol) combined. Regular Vicodine has 5mg Hydrocodone and 495mg Acetomitophen. "Extra Strength Vicodine" has 7.5mg Hydrocodone (50% more of the good stuff). So basically, if he takes you off the "extra strength" and moves you down to regular - just take 1 1/2 of the regular and you'll be good to go.
Figured I would clear that up being that I am the undisputed Vicodine king around here.
I used to eat them like M&Ms.
Oh **** - I just realized something - Josh on Vicodine ........... think about that people! You thought he was goofy on alcohol? :YEAH MITTENS!

good times! Re: went down today....
ok, here's the latest and greatest update!
yesterday, i went back for a follow up, and they finally pulled my 2 pins. It was a sad time for me because the pins and I had grown attached to each other!
Pretty wild though, couldnt believe how long they were once he had them all the way out.
So the doc re-casted me, and I have to be in this new cast for another 2 weeks. The good news is, I can finally see my toes, or at least that's what I think they are! Kind of remind me of mini hotdogs or something!
here's a few pics. incase ya want to see. WARNING! not exactly for the faint of heart, or weak stomach!!!!!!!!

not that this accident has much to do with this, but i think i'm going to be hanging up my helmet. kind of funny to say that for those of you who know me as a rider, but i think i'm ready for something that doesnt have 2 wheels!
