....the RM board isn't helpful from time to time? I was going down the highway in my eclipse after our show yesterday. I managed to get ahead of Chris and Dave at the toll. They were on their bikes so it took them a little bit longer at the toll. I had a pretty good lead on them but I noticed them approaching fast. I downshifted to third and bam......must have broke the belt.....sh*t!!! I could tell because the power steering wasn't working. As soon as I pulled off the highway that's the first thing I checked. I remeber it happened to Prozak a little while back....I was able to get the car over to Chris' house my only question is how hard is it to change.....it doesn't look like they give you much room to work in there. did you change it from underneath or from on top? and did you have to move a bunch of stuff out of the way?

haha yea that belt would be the one.. its easy to change... i only used a pair of plyers... cause im that ghetto... but u unbolt the altenator.. or loosen it up.. and move it... too make room for the belt to get on.. then push the alt back so the belt is tight.. then tighten the alt in place... shoud take all of 10 minutes
Re: who says....
oh.. and i did it from the top... kinda hard to get at.. i used a long piece of metal to push the belt on.. ccause u cant get ur arms in there...
and didnt have to move anything outta the way

Re: who says....
Real simple todo. I broke a water pump once on 495. Walked down the street and purchased a new pump, anti freeze, and tool set. Happend I left the jeep next to a storm drain so dropped all the old any freeze down the drain right on 495 praying for no cops to drive by, put the new pump on, put the belt back on, tightened the belt up and 1 hour later back on 495.
