Carnes or OHNSTON

I bought the 900rr from you. I'm having trouble with the brake light. When the key is in the on postion the brake light is on like it should. When I press on the front or rear brake the light does not light anymore. Just wondering if you ever had any problems with a blown fuse or anything before just to make it eaiser for me to fix.

Re: Carnes or OHNSTON

there are 3 wires that go to the rear brake light - 1 is running, 1 is ground, 1 is the brake light. make sure that has a good connection - if it does. Check the switches on the brake levers.

Got the bar on the back it saves the light. I just don't want to get killed by getting rear ended. I still ride the streets.

Re: Carnes or OHNSTON

I figured out that the brake light was stuck on. The front brake lever stays in contact with the switch after I let go of the brake. If I push the lever forward the light will shut off. I just put a new brake lever on do you think that is my problem or do I need a new switch? Any help would be great.

Re: Carnes or OHNSTON

lever shouldn't hold the switch on - worth a shot though.
