@ Nef who thinks 20k worth of camera gear and his time he devotes taking pictures will be a profitable in the stunt industry. Now if you purchased the equipment for other work and borrow this equipment for your hobby of taking stunt pictures that is another story.

“Why don’t you go take 2000+ images a week, sort and rate them all, week after week”
Nope, I rather devote my time to the hobbies I enjoy and not yours. Wow, you take 2,000 pictures a week but we only see 10-20 on average. Damn that is a lot of bad shots.

“Charge a dime to any stunt team or rider for a picture I have taken so far”
Have you not charged them or that you have tried to charge them but nobody has given you a dime for the pictures you take as a hobby?

“hobbiest... those are the people that show up with their consumer grade cameras and take consumer grade pics”
Actually I know a few hobbyist that have a tad more invested in equipment then you. Most people who take up photography as a hobby might start off with a consumer grade camera but upgrade to higher end equipment in the long run.

Cameron “How is this any different from an artist signing his painting?“
Last weekend I went into two different art galleries shopping for paintings with my sister. I do not remember seeing 1 painting that had the artist signature across the entire painting. Usually they will sign it in one of the corners. Why would they want to wreck their work by signing it across the entire painting?

Man you are a year older then me, I think it is time you re-evaluate your business plan if you think this is a profitable business. I understand that you are upset that you used your insurance money for the photography equipment and whish you ad spent it on the ’03 R1. Good luck and I hear Amway is looking for a few good people.

OK, I will stop being a bitch now…lots of love…

Wow you really are a clueless ****ing smuck... go smoke another joint. I didnt invest my insurance money on my camera gear instead of an 03 r1, not sure where you get your info, but your source is about as bad your logic.

“Charge a dime to any stunt team or rider for a picture I have taken so far”

Thats 100% true, I may charge for other things but i dont see how thats your fu(king business, unless your trying real hard to get on the tip of one of these stunt riders di(ks... your fiddy have suger in its tank?

The point is that their HIS pics. When me and JJ decided to race at Loudon, I had to pay the photographer to get the pix that they took of me. Yes, it was me and yes that was my bike, but the pics are THEIR property. Same story here. Now if Nef decided to post the pix of Stuntlife, they are no longer his property - as he indicated above. So, to "copyright" the pix, he added a watermark. He could have the watermark cover 99% of the pic... but it's still his picture and he could do whatever he wants with it.

Now, I have to go play software engineer for a while. You schmucks may continue arguing amongst yourselves.

Sorry I just got it like that where I have the time and money to branch out and do more than sit around my moms and smoke pot

Real simple there... I dont need to be validated by fuc(ks like you or even my friends on this forum. I choose to share what I do in any quanity I see fit. Oh and if your counting an avg of 10.. you better give it up as an eng.
Oh that also shows how much you really know about sport photography. I suppose those shots you see in SI etc, mr well respected high paid photo guy showed up with one roll of film and got the job done that way... yeah thats it

Again this isnt a hobby for me.. and by not giving **** away, that will only sustain what I do. Not forcing anyone to use my pics... but hey what do i know.. not like I design billboards, large format printing and video walls... oh wait yes i do...

Oh you mean like the 65 year old man that shows up at the zoo with his new 12,000 camera and his 03 corvette... yeah thats the same...

Im gonna let cam field the majority of that last one... but jesus you that baked, or just dumb? Try and take the painting of the wall at the gallery ( reads walmart ) you visted. The water mark is to protect my images, and to give credit where it is due.

My business has been more than profitable, but like i said wtf do you know. Im not here to brag about how much I made doing what I do ( though I will garuntee its more than you, and at 1/3 the hours put in ) money is nice, but freedom is nicer.

OK, I will stop being a bitch now…lots of love…
Yeah why dont you do that, save this conversation for next time we are around one another, Ill even bring a laptop for you to hide behind

Pictures

Ftrain... you seriously need to get out a little more...

Any race you go to or event... there are photographers walking around....

I was at a sprint car race just last week.... and guess what.... There were photographers there taking pictures..... and selling copies of the pictures from the week before.... each of the pics... were $4 bucks... or 2 for $7.

I didn't see any one bitchin about it...... GET OVER IT. GO find something else to cry about!

Nef.... if you want to spend all your money... on camera's or freakin... yo-yos... for that matter.. I really don't know why he is so concerned with it. A little jealous maybe... hell i dont know... or possibly nothing better to do.

Maybe if he spent a little more time ridin and less time crying....he would be good enough to make a little money at it... and be able to splurge... and buy one of those $5 pictures or whatever .....

This whole thread is rediculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
