Instead of having the round piece shaped like a U and mounting to a transverse plate, It has the side rails come all the way back and the U mounts to the insides of them. Its more like a flat bar with a round surface.

i didnt plan on living to 30. but now that im here, its ****** great. I can drive down the street without randomly getting pulled over. I dont have to drive as fast as I can all the time. Car insurance is cheap(er). So far the only downside I dont like is that it takes a long time to heal when i hurt myself.

no mine is like a SI design but the corners of the 1" round stock are welded to the outside corners of the box made of 1/4" X 2" flat stock...so like mike says there is alot more surface area to weld too and sturdy it up
