+1 i wasn't saying you were gay because you believe in god adam, i was saying you're gay because i didn't really have anything else to say and i had to run to the chiropractor so i didn't have time to think of anything good to say.

anyways, i was never raised to go to church, in fact, i don't think i ever talked about god to my parents....except for today i called my father to ask why they never took us to church...he said because if we wanted to pray we could do it in our house and didn't have to do it on sundays when he'd rather be hunting or fishing LOL!

so far based on what i know i will continue to not take the kids to church.....UNLESS they ask to go themselves. they have friend that go on sundays or even to religion classes during the week....alie had a desire to go for a short period of time, now she's over it...same with austin.

i'm not making fun of his religion and faith roger. i'm just asking. it's the same question i ask everyone when they tell me they believe in god, for some reason it just goes hand in hand with me.


the next religion i'm doing research on is wiccan. that sounds kind of fun.

Sometimes you have to expose things to your children that they don't ask for......just like when I told you to force them to pick a team sport......it's your job to mold them.....not babysit while they become a product of whatever they feel like doing at the moment......

i normally wouldnt make fun of some ones religion either but when religious people get all uppity i find it hard not to throw in a jab or two , i spent most of my childhood in church and in catholic schools so i have a chip on my shoulder when some one acts like they are a better person cause they are religious ..

the worse people i ever met were in church every sunday

 

but I thought you just said you like the person you are......team sports will build good social skills and the ability to win and lose well.......at least exposing them to faith will help them with right and wrong and also to have a respect for the beliefs of others.......tell me I'm wrong??

 

see, i used to think that the whole ghost thing could be real...but now that i don't think i believe in god i'm not believing in ghosts either. mainly because i had a discussion last night with someone and they told me that when you die your dead...that's it, nothing else. your body is made up of chemicals and when you die they shut down completely. i do think there is another 'force' out there....i'm not sure what i think it is yet...i'll let you know when i figured it out.

people have always been afraid of what they couldn't understand or explain......we are so insignificant on the grand scale of things.......I hope you give it an honest chance.....although it's sad you already have such a poor view of christianity.......don't think the catholics are the only christians.....I can't stand the teachings of the catholic religion at all......but there are hundreds of different types of the protestant faith......do work.....hope you figure it out.......

 

i do. you're right though, i can see where molding a child is a good thing. i always played sports until i decided i didn't want to anymore. i'm not sure if my mom pushed it or if i wanted to do it anyways...i'll ask her tonight.

i think you're right 100%, but that doesn't mean i'm going to do it. i did the sports but i didn't do the church. i think i came out alright. i mean, i've had a few fucked up moments in my life, but who hasn't. i feel like i've dealt with my life the best i could possibly do.

 

AHEM, i said i was a size 4! no one caught on to that....when i first hooked up with mikem i "told" him i weighed 145lbs....but i was a size 12...a tight size 12. hehe.

you've dealt with life the best you could with the tools you were given.....maybe you didn't have all of the tools......wouldn't you want to at least offer them to your kids.....
