He joked at the end and said "well there's no pay raise this year..." I told him I didn't expect one and just to still be here working was good enough. To be honest I'm in a pretty good spot right now. Boss likes what I am doing, I'm making a decent buck, the work isn't hard, I rarely work a 40 hour week, and Fiat is our parent company. We will get the vast majority of that business when it starts up.

Thanks I saved that link and will come up with a program for me. My buddy was a gym kid and I did what he did but he never wanted to do cardio, when he stopped I was kinda lost.
I've been trying not to snack anymore, I eat a banana for breakfast, I cook on sunday for lunch, usually something with pasta, and just one sandwhich for dinner and a protien shake. And trying not to drink more than a beer or two a day during the week.
I don't wanna get huge......just lean out.
But at least this gives me a better idea of what type of program I should be working on.

The cleaner you eat the more you can eat and still lose weight.
Breakfast: Oatmeal and banana, eggs if you have time.
snack: unsalted dry roasted peanuts, almonds, yogurt, cottage cheese, fruit, jerky
lunch: PROTEIN!! turkey, lean red meat, fish, chicken .... if you have pasta make it whole grain, but pasta is a heavy carb - i recommend something like quinoa or wild rice, or sweet potatoes, or the occasional potato without all the fixins .... salads and greens are important!!!

dinner: repeat of lunch
throw a protein shake in there post workout, keep the milk lowfat and don't overdo it with cheese ....
hardboil a bunch of eggs one night a week - they make great snacks too

True. But I feel twice as good as I did a year ago. Gotta learn how to shop too. Costco is the bomb for cheap healthy food. Farmer's markets are great in the summer too ...

Snacks are good. Like I said eat more often to keep your metabolism going which will burn the fat. Just do healthy snacks. For your size you should be eating more (yes I said that, to lose weight) Based on what you typed your body is slowing it's burning of calories because you are withholding incoming calories

my blood work came back awesome, i am healthier than ever ... it's a tough adjustment but after a few weeks you actually start to look forward to cooking good stuff .... we get everything ready and in tupperware in the fridge for a few days, it's really not that bad ....

I got a book from men's health called "eat right every time guide" it tells you all the healthiest choices at fast food and "slow food" chains. Wendy's best option is the ultimate chicken grill and chili instead of fries. I get that 90% of the time I go to Wendy's.

Abs diet is a pretty solid plan if you want more detailed instructions. I'm with scoot on eating more calories. I found that eating more for a few weeks/month with heavy weight training help to flip your body's switch to build muscle and expend calories so once you cut back your body doesn't go into starvation mode. There is a formula to figure out how many calories you need to maintain your body weight and you can do the math to subtract daily calories to set a gradual weight loss. It's actually a LOT of food if you are eating right.

I maintained my 15 lb weight loss and actually lost another 10 over the last year just by dropping soda in favor of water. I still eat like absolute **** 99% of the time.
