Painting flat white. The unfinished part of my basement already has all the floor joists painted white to cut down on spiders.

 

I just realized a 400w lamp run 18 hours a day will make my electric useage go up by around 50%

I don't know if it is the smoothness of the paint that keeps them away or the extra light, but it seems to work.

 

interesting......kinda like hanging a regular clear plastic bag with some water in it in a barn keeps flys away.......my dad built a barn for some horses and leanred that one....
