For sure. I want many sets of their pegs, but they are so damn expensive. They need to step up quantity and bring down the price. Sell them to racers too.

It's not like he is doing FEA on the ******* parts. It's all "Well looks good enough to me" engineering.

Hrrrm.. 80's party on Saturday night. This friend normally has partys that aren't complete sausage fests, but he invited a lot of dudes from school.....

true. its also not being designed from scratch, he just has to make a "better" model than stock, which is poorly made to begin with

one of my friends made steel rearsets for his f4i. they never broke/bent and never damaged the frame

And he has something to go off of. I do not agree with how beefy the part is. I would make it slighty stronger than stock so it doesn't want to snap the frame tabs.

Steel would be the best choice IMO. It can be bent back without ruining the integrity of the peg.

I'd say 1/8" is the thickest I would go.

thats too thin

I have some 1" x 1/8" steel in stock. If I cut 2 pieces of that 5" long and make a triangle like the stock bracket. That will flex and bend just from standing on it with a 3" peg.

Re: Sup

steel would also make it real easy to put dirt bike pegs on. I could just cut them off my cr and weld them on. nice

You are right. I was thinking it was a straight down force. It is a torsional load.

Dirt pegs are easy to mount....with the stock rearsets anyway.
