I think I am going to ask Santa for a pair of these:

Use the wider ones up front and the narrow ones out back. The solid aluminum casting looks like it will last longer than the powder coated tube style you see rotted in half all the time and at around $200 for the set of 4, it's a pretty good deal. Only problem I see with them is that the mounting brackets look flimsy and mount to the rocker panel. Probably have some sutrdy frame mounts fabbed up for them.

I was surprised when I climbed under my truck for the first time and noticed the tube steps mount to the body and not the frame. Oh well, they seem sturdy. Mine are stainless so they aren't rusted. I see the black ones rusted through all the time.
