im at work today
theres a critical patch from microsoft coming out next week that will supposedly **** up computers that arent at SP2 yet. So we have to go through this spreadsheet and find a few hundred computers on campus, remote them, and upgrade them to sp2.
so far 70% of them arent on the network, havent been fonr months, and are decomissioned. But somehow their names still come up in an altiris scan. wtf?
then 25% already have sp2, they just came up falsely on the scan
which leaves 5%. every machine ive found that doesnt have sp2, wont take it. either not enough hd space, or a 1603 error. theyre all 4 year old pos's that should have been upgraded last year.
im at work today

they stall cuz of fuel delivery problems, so it starts to bog down and give tons of notice before it stalls
