What the hell are they doing? Up here they just build new ones and abandon the old ones. The company I work for usually builds them too. We built a new Home Depot last year and are building a super wal mart right now. The old home depot is still empty but rumor has it that lowes in going to move into the current wal mart building when they leave.

 

They are turning the regular walmart into a supercenter.
