Yo, you guys just bounce outta here with out saying anything??

 

Well first story - We rode there, through snow, sleet and rain. On stunt bikes btw. They werent crazy geared stunt bikes, this was 2001, we were rockin -1 +3 for the most part so we could still do 140 on the highways.

 

thats still nuts ... i dont like riding 2 hours to go home to cleveland - back hurts hands and feet are numb ...

 

Im just typin up dumb bikeweek stories.

Next one - We cruised down I95 from ny, had no problems through jersey, delawere and maryland, It was too cold to go really fast. The next day we're going through virginia and its warmer there, so we picked up the speed. My bike would only do 140, so that was to be our cruising speed. Traffic wasnt too bad, not compared to ny traffic. We just split lanes when traffic got below 80. I 95 in virginia is littered with cops. Every rest area, and half the turnarounds in the highway divider had cops sittin.

 

Yeah, riding a long way's kinda hurts a little, but there are a lot of smokers in my group, so we make many pit stops for smoke breaks

 

So every time we'ds get up to a suspicious spot, we'd slow down to 65, pass the cop, then go back up to speed. We did this no less than 25 times and we had 100% success. Then we got to with in 5 miles of the NC border, pass a cop like we always do, but this time he pulled out after us.

We were going 65 which was the posted limit so we werent worried, but I hung back a few hundred feet from my friend. The cop blows past me and gets up behind my friend. I think, ok looks like hes gettin a ticket. Then I look to my left and theres another cop next to me, and another cop behind me. They pull us over together.

So the cops start yellin at us for speeding. They said they were getting hundreds of calls from truckers on the CB about us for the past hour, and they have a road block set up for us before the border if we didnt stop. (they seemed real surprised we stopped) Then they continue to tell us that since every time we passed them we were going 65 (he proceeds to show me the radar) he isnt going to give us tickets for it. LOLOLOL in ny, they would have arrested us on general principal.

So then the other cop comes back with our licenses.

We both had permits only at the time. My friend gave the cop his mc permit, I gave them my regular drivers license. They tell us that since I had my full license theres no problem, but if I only had my permit they'd be impounding both our bikes righ tnow. LOLOLOL again

So they let us go, just like that, no tickets. Just a verbal warning not to come through virginia on our way back. We rode into NC and pulled over at the first exit to laugh about it.
