I believe you're thinking of the tundra. But large brakes are not going to stop heavy loads that well. If you're hauling heavy stuff you need trailer brakes. Also horsepower doesn't mean **** in a truck. A diesel has in the 300's for HP while it should have ~700 lb-ft of torque.

A gas engine can pull a decent sized trailer. Unless you are hauling really heavy ****, a diesel is too expensive. Not only is it a $5000 option. The fuel is $.40-.50 higher a gallon. There goes your increased fuel economy.

Ya but you can also run it on home heating oil for $1.50 a gallon. Just dont get caught.
