Re: Look what Im doing this weekend

no no no no just brake for a few seconds and then let it cool for a few more just a little pressure every time and don't over heat them.....

so, i get my **** solid, no bubbles, good solid feel. then i ride it, and it feels like its full of air. i have to pump it 5 times to get it to work

but when it does work, oh damn does it work

so i figure i have a bubble, so i go back to the lab. grab the lever one more time before i hook up the bleeder again, and the lever feels solid again

did some more testing and discovered that when the bike is rolling, it has no brake pressure. when stopped, full pressure returns as if it never left.

My suspicion is that my rotor is warped, and every revolution of the wheel pushes the pistons back in, since the caliper cant float.

I have a few rotors in stock, but my attention span for working on bikes is done for tonight I think. Im gonna go smoke and play musical trailers, then maybe i'll swap out my rotor

easy way to check that is pump it so it has pressure and let it sit for a couple minutes and if it still has pressure then just lean the bike over on the kick stand and run the bike in gear for a second the see what the break feels like if it gets soft after spinning the wheel then yup i agree with you ..

and i wouldn't doubt that it is warped just by the way you said you were gonna brake in the pads ..lol
