Re: Look what Im doing this weekend
and it takes a little longer then regular to brake them in
just when you think there broke in they get even better after a day of riding

Re: Look what Im doing this weekend
no no no no just brake for a few seconds and then let it cool for a few more just a little pressure every time and don't over heat them.....
Re: Look what Im doing this weekend
so, i get my **** solid, no bubbles, good solid feel. then i ride it, and it feels like its full of air. i have to pump it 5 times to get it to work
but when it does work, oh damn does it work
so i figure i have a bubble, so i go back to the lab. grab the lever one more time before i hook up the bleeder again, and the lever feels solid again
did some more testing and discovered that when the bike is rolling, it has no brake pressure. when stopped, full pressure returns as if it never left.
My suspicion is that my rotor is warped, and every revolution of the wheel pushes the pistons back in, since the caliper cant float.
I have a few rotors in stock, but my attention span for working on bikes is done for tonight I think. Im gonna go smoke and play musical trailers, then maybe i'll swap out my rotor
but when it does work, oh damn does it work

and i wouldn't doubt that it is warped just by the way you said you were gonna brake in the pads ..lol
Re: Look what Im doing this weekend
no i meant it probably is warped because of how you have broke in your previous sets of new pads....
driving around the block with the brake on is how a freind of mine use to brake his in....lol
needless to say his brakes never worked good
