I miss...
Re: I miss...
nothing. No fancy term, it was just called getting the back out. When I was in high school in the early 90s, all cars were rear wheel drive and had 300hp and everybody got the back out on every turn all the time. It was hard not to.
Then gas got expensive, and ricers became the dominant vehicles for kids to drive. And now they get so excited about getting the back out that they have to come up with a fancy name for it.
So basically to me, the way my grandfather would drive his oldsmobile to the grocery store, is now an event in the x games.

I always called it "kickin out"
I used to drive around for hours on end kickin out in my z28. Redneck style with black betty pounding :YEAH
Re: I miss...
Called it powersliding or getting loose. 1972nova with a 355 and a buch of edelbrock goodies. 9.00 in the 1/8 mile (about a 14 second 1/4 I'm guessing)
Re: I miss...
Dont you wish those old cars weighed the same as todays cars but had the same engines. They would have been bad ***. That thing must have been a little hard to control with its weight
Re: I miss...
Fiberglass bumpers were the only weight savings.
