oh, so last night i tried doing an engine off coaster then slowly releasing the clutch to restart the engine. didnt work at all. no matter how fast i went and how far back it was. maybe it might work in second or 3rd gear, but mousetrapping at that speed could be bad

I don't know. All I know is tt won't run without the battery, but It will run with a dead battery. Something has to complete the circuit where the battery is.

maybe if you shifted to 2nd before releasing the clutch....but then you'd have to shift back once it started......

i dont have a shifter, so i have to stop and get off the bike to shift

BUTTTTT, i can go as slow as necessary in second gear, i have a big sprocket
