pick one or the other imo. I still say yes the 50 helps - i learned bp and brake control and it definitely transferred over. however the throttle control is opposite, 50 is choppy, it will make you choppy on the big bike.

Are these 125's or 250's? You must have ridden a lot. I had my 250 for 3 or 4 years and never even put rings in it. The compression never dropped. Of course it only saw 5-15 hours a year.
I'm still confused about your comment that the crank wouldn't get lubed. Are you saying the crankcase oil lubes the crank/bottom end? Do you know how a 2 stroke works?

And yes, the same oil that lubes the gears and clutch, is in the crankcase. I know what you're getting at with the air/fuel/oil mixture lubricating, but im telling you theres an open channel for oil between the tranny area and the crankcase.

if i have a sitdown thats going wrong, i stand up to save it. but thats because im more comfortable standing up. if i wasnt comfortable like that, it wouldnt save ****
