Call me a gear snob or whatever, but I'm fully geared everytime I go out. Once you get in the habit of doing it it's not so bad. I am way more comfortable and confident with all my gear. Can't take chances. Would have lost my head, half my skin, and my hands had I not been wearing gear when I flipped a wheelie. No one is good enough where they can say they'll never fall.

Re: helmets

Speaking of nice lids, my boy just got the Arai Wraith w/ a chrome shield, that helmet is off the hook!! I envy that lid.. $500 bucks though, but still gloves/helmet/jacket are a must to me... although my speedmaster gets in my way for switchbacks..

Re: helmets

i am only 15 and i have been riding since i turned 13. i try to always wear a helmet. whether i am on my 125sx my banshee or my 50 that i just bought. yes i no its corny that i wear a helmet but it beats bein in the emergency room. there hav been times i no i hav been 2 lazy to wear a helmet but i try to hav it on. now that i hav the wheelies i hav notced that i am wearin it less and less and i feel its a bad habit n my parents are mad that i wearin it less and less. So i am startin to wear it more cuz i dun wanna get a head injury.

Re: helmets

Its just ridiculous seeing these guys out there doing 50+ mile an hour spreaders (etc.,) without a helmet. All it takes is one little click off the pavement and you will probably eat your food through a straw the rest of your life. Good luck with that
