Re: ~ Detroit Autorama ~
Sorry about that, Adam. I have been dealing with a shitty laptop on the road
and 1/2 the time it doesn't work. Anyway, we checked out your site and that
footage of you guys getting crazy is wild!
As for doing any selling, you MUST purchase a commercial spot to be able to
sell or offer anything for sale. These start at $725 for a 10x10 and go up
from there. We can do the bikes one of two ways, either as regular entries,
with all the benefits including metal AutoRama entry sign, goody bag full of
stuff, 2 exhibitor tickets, judging and awards, which is $50 per entry. The
second option is to enter as a "Non Comp" for $5 per entry, which just gives
you 1 ticket and a spot to show off your bike.
The main thing is that absolutely nothing can be sold or offered without
purchasing a commercial spot. We can always work around the size based on
the amount of bikes you want to have. This means if you have 100 bikes and
need 10x50 feet to display them along with a table to sell your stuff, we
can still go with a 10x10 and 2 10x20s or whatever. As for electric for the
TVs', let me work on that and get back to you.
Thanks, I look forward to making you guys a part of AutoRama Extreme!

Time to clarify a few things for anyone interested in the AutoRama Extreme.
First Off, so far, I have NOTHING from you guys as far as entries or for any space. You can not just "get a space" for $50 and fill it full of whatever you want.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to have you put together some sort of display, but EACH and EVERY bike must submit an individual entry form. You can either enter in competition, ($50) which entitles you to all the benefits. This includes a metal AutoRama entry sign, a goodie bag, 2 three-day passes, full judging and eligibility for trophies and awards. Second option is to enter as a "Non Comp". ($5) This way, you get to have space for your entry, 1 three day pass and that's it. The $5 or $50 entry fee does not necessarily get you a 10x10 or 10x20 booth! Bottom Line; No Entry fee for EACH Bike/Quad/Car or whatever; No Entry into the show.
Without a Commercial Booth, you CAN NOT offer ANYTHING for sale in any form. If you want to sell anything, from T-Shirts to DVDs to whatever, you MUST purchase a minimum of a 10x10 Commercial vendor spot, which is $725.
I have just a few spots left, so this needs to be locked up, meaning paid for no later than Wednesday, 2-16-05.
If you enter a bike/car/quad or anything else, it MUST be left in the building from Set-up Thursday until show closing at 8:00pm Sunday. Simply stated, if you can't leave it for the whole she-bang, don't bring it!
Security; we do hire security, but it is provided through Cobo. We do have after hours security and we do lock-down after hours. DO NOT LEAVE anything of value that someone can pick up and walk out with! Although we hire security, everything is left at your own risk. With the bikes, I recommend locking them all together after hours and packing TVs DVD players etc in the trunk of a car or take them out with you at night. We generally don't have problems, but like any other show, you leave your stuff at your own risk.
As far as getting a 20x20 or 20x40, it aint gonna happen. We are real close to being FULL, so if you want to put this together, we need to button this up ASAP, meaning early next week.
Electric is available from COBO Electric with a charge of $115 IF PAID BY 2-15, then up to $165 from 2-16 on. If you want the "lower" price, I need a check payable to COBO ELECTRIC in my hands no later than 2-15-05.
Not trying to be harsh, just trying to clarify all the terms and conditions so that we all can have a great time and put on an excellant show!
If anyone has any questions, you can catch me on my cell phone at 586-549-5291. If you get my voice mail, I WILL CALL BACK!
