Stuntlife Contest POLL!!

VOTE NOW!!

Most competative riders practice as much as possible. When you practice you strive to be the BEST/FRESHEST rider out there. You travel to an event and display your mastery over machine and hope all that time and effort payed off. You cruise online and watch other riders hoping that you can best them when crunch time comes! Everyone here should vote (no vid, but we all know what tricks where pulled. VOTE.

Re: Stuntlife Contest POLL!!

i voted for the multiple scrape, heres the reason... we went out practicing mon, i wanted to learn something new, i went for the lawn mower, not because it is easy by any means, but becuase i had a better chance of getting it, the multiple scrape, hell even 1 high chair scrape is a very technical trick. especially with no hand brake. your balance has got to be perfect, your timing has got to be perfect, your throttle control has got to be perfect. very technical , alot to think about while your 7 plus feet in the air with a 400 lb machine thats going to come down on top of you if you mess up one of the components of this trick. that is how it should have been judged, just my

this is the thing though. i know that this trick is very technical and i will never be able to touch it in my life. however its SICKEST trick not most technical trick. true watchtower isnt the hardest trick out there but if the fans were cheering more for the watchtower then that should win. period. if its all about riders going against each other then just do it on the street. if its a place where there are spectators then its got to be what they want or this will go nowhere.

and this thread is only going to turn into a fight

Re: Stuntlife Contest POLL!!

.....I'd have to give it to the watchtower variation (I called it the "Guardian" when I did it back in February). High Chair scrapes(which I can do) are technical but not new. .....and standing on the headlight is a little different from standing on your frame sliders!!

When I personally go to see others ride, I want to see tech ****, not **** I have seen 100+ times easy..... so, not all the people in the crowd necessarily felt that way.
Then again, I was not there to hear this crowds respose.
So... worthless 0.02.

look at it from another persons perspective. most people have no clue what a 12 bar is or a crash cage or anything that we consider common knowledge. so you are the die hard fan that wants to see something new just like the rest of us. but most people dont want to see a bike only going 2 mph on one wheel. that can get boring as hell if you dont know what to look for or understand how difficult it is. people are trying to turn this into mainstream but that wont happen when people arent getting hurt bad and taking huge risks like standing on you headlight on a moving bike. come on, i know you can understand what that looks like to someone that has never even seen a stoppie before. its just like nascar, looks like guys are just driving in circles until you understand drafting & everything else. alot of people just want to see a crash

most people dont understand this because to be honest they dont have the ability to take a step back and see it though others eyes. i understand how business works, you cant sell something to people that dont want to buy it. its like when people want $10,000 for a stoppie contest. HAHAHA where does this money come from, the tooth fairy

true that, i think you were the first person i saw pics of doing that. and for some one like me who's balance sucks, the guardian is prob. farther out of reach than the high chair scrapes. its a tough call and i am personally glad i didnt have to be the one to make it.

Comming from the man that has both tricks in his bag... Yo' Keith I just wonder how long this cat rode the Gardian out for. Thats something I didnt consider till now.. and that definately would weigh into this.

5-10 feet jumped down off the lights and rode out a wheelie...the track was a drag racin track that was very sticky/graby and slow...not the best conditions for the trick

but i still gave rodg a higher score.

however...we are still beating a dead horse.

Re: Stuntlife Contest POLL!!

Well i dont really give a crap on who had sickest trick.......to me sickest trick is somthing that takes ***** more than skill. Ive seen more impressive stunts on outer most videos than ive ever seen at competitions. What really impresses me is freestyle ,when a team or individual can go out and just tear **** up and put their tricks together in a way that really flows,,,,,to me that is sick.I think competitions should only have team freestyle or individual freestyle and should be judged on style, and how the performance is put together....no longest endo or longest no hander and sickest trick cause you got guys that are really good in those events and may suck at other stuff, why pay them money for it.Dont mean to preach , just wanted to express my opinion on it .........Lifes a Garden DIG IT

BTW whats a lawn mower?

Re: Stuntlife Contest POLL!!

Oh as for my vote i think the little guy from Outermost wins sickest trick with the slow 12 jumpin off hittin both feet on pavement while tail is still off the ground and jumps to a gangsta spreader thats some sick **** right there. So i guess i would have to say none of the above........I wish we could have made it to the competition so paw paw could have went out there and scraped a highchair and let it slide on the bar while he climbed up to the Guadian then we wouldnt even be having this conversation........lmao. :YEAH
