Hey everyone I am really new to this site...2 Posts in two week...climbing fast!!:YEAH

Anyway I go to college in way upstate NY, Clarkson University in Potsdam to be exact. One of my buddies and I started a school recognized motorcycle club earlier this semester. No it is not a stunting club there are a few of us interested in stunting and then a bunch of people with older bikes looking to cuise. Now we are trying to get some fundraisers and rides setup and maybe trips to see some big shows.

We are in the planning stages of setting up a show here in Potsdam. We think this would be an awsome event to bring to the area and would bring a lot of interest to our group. One of the ideas brought up was gettting some people to come up to do a stunt show. ( I don't think school would go for an all out stunt comp. But maybe it is something that can be brought up if there is enough interest.) So what we are trying to do is get a decent sized show going with maybe a five to ten dollar entrance fee with some prizes for the winners. (maybe even best stunt bike!!)

I would really like to see this stunt show go through. I think it would be sick for advertising our group as well as yours. There isn't much in the way of stunting up here so this would be an opportunity to expand the sport that we all love so much.

We plan on getting local radio stations to help out with the advertising. (they love to donate to school groups) There are also four schools in the area which I believe all have there own radio stations which I am positive will help with the cause.

Alright I am getting long winded here but I hope this expresses how much I want to see this happen.

So what I need from you guys... I have never been to or set something like this up before so I need info.....

---Would anyone be willing to come up and support the cause?
---the more the better, if we get enough we might be able to make a push for the stunt comp

---When you go to shows how do they work the liability (some kind of waiver or contract?)

---For a stunt show how much room do you need I know all the videos use big long strips but what physical size would you need.

PS: Like I said we in the planning stages this would be happening in the beginning of the fall semester 2008(early Sept 08). so we are completely open to suggestions.

you need to make it worth it for the stunters to drive up there, nobody wants to pay 100 in gas for 200 dollar payout....
