I'm trying to make plans early before its too late to go. Anyone have any good info or good sh*t to know about? Hotels, hot spots, and getting drunk? Starting from NYC, how long of a drive you guys think? I appreciate any good advice. Thanks

went last year with a few people. from long island ny. trip takes about 20 hours with a few stops here & there. but ya..theres bars and parties everywhere..lol if ur going with a few people go look into renting a house within the area... ur bikes will probably be safer than leaving them outside..lol

How would I go about renting a house???? I think a motel would be easier for me. can you guys reccomend anything. I dont have a clue whats too close or too far.....

 

just google "daytona bike week" and a million things should pop up

 

use google maps to get a feel for the area and cities near by, use the satelite view to see all the major hotels and ****, that'll be the "strip" and you want to be just outside the strip for cheaper pricing. A house would be a good Idea if you have a few ppl and lots of extra money for a security deposit. I hear that local residents will actually get together and stay with friends and then rent out their own house for bike week. They'll be ads all over the place. ppl with timeshares will rent them to you. there's alot of availability, but you're still a little early.

and if you need any extra ppl, let me know, I plan on going, but with my business, I plan on getting a suite right on the strip. I'll post my info when I book it, and find some new ppl from SL to join the party. I'm also going to find out what I can get for group rates, and advertise them on the forum.

ya that spot was nuts when we were down there for stuntwars & bikeweek. we were there almost every day and there was atleast 5 or so people there. not like ny where the cops harass ya for being in a parkin lot

too far...that's 25 miles from the beach! you'll want to be just inland from daytona Beach. near the daytona speedway/airport will probably be a little pricey too, because of supply/demand for bike week, but try Port Orange or Ormond Beach, they're both within a few miles of daytona beach.

when we get into next year, I'll make some calls to the local hotels and find out what kind of group discounts I can get if I book like 100 rooms, and then I'll advertise on here and other bike forums to fill the rooms. Hopefully it'll be worth my efforts. When I find out, I'll be sure to make a thread and keep it updated.

Flagler is actually nice and it's a real nice 25 min ride on A1A next to the beach!!!!!
