Pros get paid, whether it be cash, check, credit, merchandise, or parts in any amount, shape, or form.

Amateurs do EVERYTHING of free and for plain fun and entertainment!!!!

If your too stupid to figure out where you belong, then you should just go to the tallest building in your town and jump off head first butt naked into a small glass of orange juice(orange juice is so if you don't die of impact, something will eat the flesh off your body)!!!!

That doesn't make any sense. What is the motivator for an amateur to come out and compete if there's nothing to go for? you think i'm driving down from seattle to cali for a stunt competition that has nothing in it for me? not even some merchandise to win? That's not how it works. You quit providing prizes to novice riders and you lose the interest for the *not so talented* people to even get out there...cause what's the point? they could go practice any day...why compete for nothing? lol... i've been involved in quite a few different organized competitive sports and this thinking you've got is totally backwards.

 

so pro means that someone's heard your name? or you have a paint sponsor??

my friend can paint my bike for free and you're going to tell me that i need to be pro cause i've got a sponsorship??

it should be based off of skill level, not name recognition or sponsors. whether or not you have sponsors, does NOT mean you are more skilled or talented than others who don't have sponsorship. when i was competing with my horses, sure, my name was known...but i was no where near pro! i was just on of the girls everyone wanted to beat... take away the competition and you have nothing. you guys and your silly backwards thinking makes me crazy don't you know how this kinda thing works??

The legs are doing pretty good a little swollen and rashed but all in all
I am fine. The only bummer was that the plastics got rashed and I broke my rearset and levers.

id consider you PRO.... because you've been paid to do shows, and get free products and paint jobs..... regardless if youve gotten your fame cuz youre a girl or not...

this sport is growin fast and everyone wants to be the best... if you dont wanna be considered a pro, then DONT enter comps or get sponsers.... just ride for fun....

i wanted to enter as an AM but Phil wouldnt let me... its all good cuz i really dont give a sh*t... and i sure as hell know i wouldnt have a chance at the pros.... that goes with MANY other riders out there.... i dont even have any real sponsers... i just get products for cost, which is still fine by me and have never got paid for a show. im not in it to make money

so you have 2 choices
1.step up your F*CKIN GAME
2. dont compete

too many damn people take this sport waaaaay too seriously and they arent even in that position to do so.... thats why i RIDE FOR FUN AND MY OWN ENTERTAINMENT....... im with Bullo on this perspective of the sport.... ENJOY IT, cuz everyone seems to be tryin to take all the fun out of it.....

and i mean no disrespect to people like Thomas or Phil who are bustin their asses to move this sport further... i got nothin but love and appreciation for guys like them
