The first event will be in Phoenix, May 13-14 That event will be a part of an event called GT Live the last GT Live event there had 48,000 people (type GT Live in google)

the rest of the events will be announced soon. it will probably be about 5 total.

The people at XDL are commited to showcasing stuntriding in a positive, professional light. With that being said, they came to me and asked about our competition format, rules and judging. All of the suggestions I made were put in effect and with that, here is the basics.

-An invite only series of events that hold the same rules and formats for each
-Paid, quality judges, utilizing the criteria we established for the xsba (which is currently accepted and utilized by every major competition, although sometimes not used properly!!)
-A $10,000 purse for pro freestyle at every event
-A few other fun competitions throughout the weekend to spice it up a bit, featuring prizes from event sponsors

The XDL show was featured on a 30 minute show called Redline TV on Speed Channel, so I expect these events to get the same or better coverage from the media.

A few of the companies that sponsored XDL include: Buell, Triumph, BFGoodrich, Red Bull, Falken and more...

and to top it all off...the plan is to have it be held in a huge parking lot surface enclosed by portable barriers!! Riders will get booth space free as well as free admission to the event on all days!

I expect great things out of this series!!

I cant explain how nice it is to go to events like this, where you actually feel like the promoters care...at the xdl show I was highly impressed, and I suppose I made an impression on those guys too since they came to me wanting to start a series!

o lets do this **** right and show them how we can get down
I may have missed it but where's the 10 g's coming from if riders get in free and have free booth space? Not trying to be a smartass, just curious

Re: Phoenix May 13-14 $10,000!! pro freestyle

well I know your not being a smart ***, but honestly I cant see why anyone would even come up with a question like "Where does the 10k come from?" But it seems like you might be stuck in Stuntwars mode... well, this is not stuntwars or your local wheelie comp.. this is a huge class a event with over 40,000 spectators.

The stunt competition is a valuable part of the show, so all of the invited riders will be treated with all due respect, this includes, free entry for competing riders, no entry for competition, free booths space for competing riders

I know I know... its a hard concept to grasp hold of...just give it a little bit of time...the deal is this... they asked me what I wanted to see and what I would do for an event.. I told them and they implemented everything I said, even the little **** like treating you guys right... This is some big ****.. these people would rather you be happy and proud to be a part of the series and have you go the extra mile telling people about it, then take some $40 entry fee from you... its all about the bigger picture.. and XDL is commited to that!

See you in VA I assume

Re: Phoenix May 13-14 $10,000!! pro freestyle

I just heard about this yesterday. Much Much Much props thomas for putting something like this together. Looks like a positive step in the right direction for this sport. with real purse money too. Looks like the best comp in the states ever. Might have to fly from ct to watch and support this one.

looks like all the top dawgs are riding as expected. Good luck to all

curious about one thing. will bikes without uppers or bikes with dirtbike bars be allowed and judged equally to ones with clip-ons and full uppers?

not trying to open a can of worms just curious
