Powder Coating

You guys are semi-local, so I just wanted to let you guys know I opened up a powder coating shop on Cape Cod. I can PC in any color, from flat or gloss to color changing, chrome, and metallics. Oh yeah I polish too. I will also just glass bead anything if you want prep work done before paint. Got a 16X12 ft oven coming in 2 weeks, so I can handle just about anything up to a truck/car frame. Right now I can do smaller stuff under 22". Wheels, clip-ons, etc. I am starting out giving deals to SL members/fellow riders. I can do a streetbike frame for like $250. A set of wheels for around $150. Swingarms for like $80, etc. These prices are for an "in-stock" regular colors (Black, red, white, blue, green, yellow, etc.). Metallics and chameleons are two-stage coats and are a little bit more. Of course fiddy prices are much cheaper. These prices include all degreasing prep and media blasting. I can also do a clearcoat powder over polished parts or frames. It will preserve the polish look without you having to ever polish again.

I am located in Bourne at:

15 Beach St.
Monument Beach Ma 02553

shop # (508)759-2142

Re: Powder Coating

How about 100 is too much because a 50 frame is nothing.
It's already bad for business that he doesn't keep up to date on a thread about his own business.

Re: Powder Coating

Sorry boys, was running around getting parts. Anywho, I agree that $100 is too much. I just took a look at one. So here's the deal: $60 a frame, $80 with swingarm, and $100 for frame, swingarm, and forks. Thats a deal and a half . Jimmy Jammer, thats $765.32 for you, so STFU Just kidding man, but your still a *****

Re: Powder Coating

Now we're talking.
How many frames are needed for a group rate?
What time frame are we looking at to get stuff done?
I want something that glows in the dark, probably some candy green that glows in the dark.
or maybe brown mustard metallic that glows in the dark.

Right now all I can do is smaller parts, under 23". My large oven (20x10ft) is back ordered for another 2 weeks. After that though, I can turn them around in about 2-3 days. 5 or more frames and I'll do a 15% discount off the total. That frame price is for a "stock" color, like black, red, green, blue, mirror silver (chrome like), etc. Anything that doesn't require a base or top coat. Glow in the dark is a 2 stage process, so probably another $15-$20 or something.

But they have glow in the darks, chameleons, fluorescents, pearlescents, etc. I'll check, I think they have a glow in the dark additive to any color. Check www.caswellplating.com for a online color chart.

And to clarify, if I do forks they need to be disassembled with no seals or hydraulic fluid in them. It will burn in the oven

Someone post a pic of a bare frame please

Re: Powder Coating

Ok, there is a glow in the dark additive. I found it. Works with clear or light colored powders. I can also add silver, red, or blue flake to any color and give it a metallic look.
