Re: Wheeling this weekend?

I should be down. I need new drums, got a case of the squeaks because of it. And i have a rainbow in my tie rod. But as long as we're not wheeling to far away i should be able to make it. No Highways. Where do you want to go? Call your boys.

Re: Wheeling this weekend?

Sorry I did not call you this weekend Buick. I did not get the exhaust done on Friday on Saturday so I could not head into the trails. It was way to loud!!!

Did some nice work on the Jeep this weekend. I built a new drag link out of scrap metal. Redneck style. I dropped it off at the shop today to have some custom exhaust pieces bent. Hopefully get that exhaust all squared away today and then I will be ringing your phone Buick. Time to go check it out.

Re: Wheeling this weekend?

You might be able todo it much cheaper with a local machine shop. That is the route I am taking.

I got the exhaust on yesterday. It ended up costing $400 because I needed a cat and muffler besides getting some custom pices bent.

I found a cool rock garden behind a dam yesterday. Took my Jeep there and had a blast until I knocked off the rear tail pices of my exhaust. lol

I need to wire up the lockers this week. When on the rocks it is so east to get 1 rear tire spining and 1 front tire spining and the the other two tires just stand still. I need to engage my lockers!!!

What is wrong with the rear brakes? What size tires you running? I ran 33's and smaller for 11 years and did not have to replace the drums until I added a lot of weight to the jeep.

Re: Wheeling this weekend?

My dana 60 rear axle is slamming into my gas tank. Time to break out the sawzall and welder and make the bottom of the tank flush with the frame rails. This should be fun. Half the gas tank under the jeep and half in the back tub..... to be continued....

Re: Wheeling this weekend?

My tanks dented for jeep stunting. What axles do you have?
I was thinking of going with the super30 and super 35 but not sure. I know I want arb air lockers, and higher gears for whatever I do.

Re: Wheeling this weekend?

No need for new axles Buick. Just run them till they break and then get new ones. My dana30 front and 35 rear lasted 10 years and half of that was on 33"

I want to trade my 33" for anythig larger. I can go up to 38"

Re: Wheeling this weekend?

Why not?
They might or might not break. Wait until you break your axle to upgrade.
