Re: Front Brakes

What style brake it it though? V brake?
If it needs serious adjusting mate, you probally need new pads too, and if you change the pads you may as well change cables. Only takes 20 mins, but is worth every second.
I say change cable too, becasue they tend to fray after where it is held, causing you to be unable to back brakes off when fitting the new ones.

Any pics of pads or brake?

Re: Front Brakes

I cant answer that in an American point of view mate. I pay about £10 per pair here, for ones with removable pads, and about £1.25 for cables

they have a thin hard layer on the outside of them, use sandpaper or a file to shave a lil off the surface.

when i got the brakes pads i'm running on my 24", it took about a week and a half to get them to the point to where they were strong enough to do stoppies

Re: Front Brakes

I never sand mine. I just go for a hard ride after fitting them, i go to some slightly down hill twisties to bed them in. I lube cables. but next time i will scuff them, worth a try, if it means i can go stunt sooner!
