Rolling Stoppies?

Anyone got any tips on how to pull a decent rolling stoppie? I can do a few tricks on my Bike (wheelies, manuals, clickers,no footers, circles,12'oclocks, one handed circles, one handers, frame stand, switch pedals to frame to seat, Saran wraps all on one wheel and other stuff like stoppies and switchbacks) But Just cannot Pull a stoppie with distance... I can go like 4 foot lol!

Help!!!!!!

SPEED!! and bounce the rear end up hard, the higher you go the less brake you use

Re: Rolling Stoppies?

I dont have rear suspension, but i have tried doing about ten mph, pushing down with my legs as i brake, it only really comes up a foot and the back steps out to the left. Feels good, but is that all i need to do? Pin it and bounce?

Re: Rolling Stoppies?

you don't need a suspension to "bounce"

just extend your legs real fast, and pull them up, just like jumping off the pedals

Re: Rolling Stoppies?

start out slow...at a slow speed!!
start hitting the brake and when u feel the pads are touching the rimlike kina jump up or push your weight foward, and hit the brake harder and go faster and faster..eventually u will do them higher and longer...good luck

I see wheeliealex and pete bounce but I always just kinda jumped up and tapped the brakes and its always been more effective for ME

Re: Rolling Stoppies?

Wtf is up with posts randomly getting deleted? It's pretty ****ed up because I took time into writing a 2 paragraph thing to help him and it gets deleted for no reason.. How harmful is it to tell someone how to stoppie? Is it admins doin this because it happens alot and pretty annoying.. I wish they could atleast PM you and tell you why they're deleting your post.

Re: Rolling Stoppies?

bounce the rear end, hit the brakes, let off as ti comes up. it's THAT simple.

rolling 10-20 feet is cake, getting distance off them is what takes skill

Re: Rolling Stoppies?

just go faster, don't worry to much about getting it high when your first starting, just go fast as hell and bounce just a lil and do a power stoppie.

that'll get you like 15-20 feet.

once you get power stoppies down you can start to work on BP

Re: Rolling Stoppies?

Cheers lads, I can only do them Low. I think its my brake, i snap it in, and it sticks the back up a foot, and the lever comes all the way into the bar or itll touch back down. Yesterday i was flying along, and just went to lift back up to slow me down a bit and it snapped up high, and rolled longer than usual. I think i just need to get over it staying low and snapp it up.

that depends, if you bring it up slow then your gonna loose ALOT of speed, so even tho you'll be balanced really well, you won' roll more than 35 feet or so.

the trick is, getting it high as fast as you can, and keeping it there.

don't worry about BP for the time being tho, just work on power stoppies
