If i remember correctly, jim once showed me a adatpor that allows you to get some linear pull brakes on your bike.....
I've got the calipers if you need some.....

it had linear pull mounts too.
the mounts you have are to high on the frame to work for linear pull brakes.
you'll need to buy the adaptor plate, it's like 5 bucks i think
