if your going to buy a digital camera make sure it has an optical lense on it. it makes a HUGE difference in the quality when u zoom in and out!!!

you mean make sure it has optical zoom, difference is optical zoom adjusts the lenses to zoom and digital zoom just zooms in on the current picture making the picture pixalated and shitty (usually)

Check out your local Best Buy, they had an Olympus D520-C Zoom on clearance for like $170. I bought one here and it takes excellent pics. Has a 7.5x total zoom (both optical and digi) and is 2 megapixel which isn't bad. Takes good pics for the price and if you change the quality of the pics to 640x480 you can take about 90 pics on a 16 meg card. You really don't need any higher resolution unless your printing them. Good Luck

I'd try and find one that doesn't have that stupid 5 second delay when you hit the button

Do they even have one of those?

My kodak dc4800 has a delay, but it's not actually a delay. If you hold the button half way down that's when it focuses on the image. When it's focused then you press the button the rest of the way down. Kinda tricky at first but you'll get the hang of it after a while

3 mega pixels is all you need, kodak makes some good one, I have one, my friend has a sony, it works good. Just dish out 200 and get one.
