My Custom Lid + Lids I do for clients (Am starting to)

I bought a $40 HJC helmet at a local junk yard to use for stunting and even though it was perfect in condition I wanted something more fun so I decided to design it on my own. Here is the finished product. Around 15 hours of work.

And here are a couple shots of a new lid I am doing for a local rider.

The guy wanted graffiti and samurai. He rides a zx6r-636. I figured I would add that instead of random words and names? :P

I took this photo for color reference to match the horseman on the otherside best that I could but I figured I could post this up to show you guys progress on the current helmet I am working on.

I also made a stencil of a design also attached that I used to make the quick outline with and then went in to detail individually.

I am charging $350 as a base price. The more complex the more it will cost of course. We can work out the details though.

How simple is something super simple?

That price I set forth as a base price because it not only includes the drawing aspect but all the labor, tools, time, and everything else that is needed in creating a design.

Re: My Custom Lid + Lids I do for clients (Am starting to)

Okay I wanted to post an update on the current helmet I am almost done with. I just finished a 10+ hour sit down on this helmet, started work at 9pm now it's about 8am heh.

All in all I think there has been over 24 hours total in this helmet as the horses took so long! I need probably 2-3 more hours to re-ink places and add fine details in a lot of the space but I wanted to post what I spent tonight doing. I am probably 85% done with this helmet then moving on to another one.

Also side note I am working on a website www.artlids.com which should be up soon enough with complete information on my regulations and prices and everything else.

Now here are some crappy shots (of course I will take good ones once the helmet is 100% done)

I just got home from the clear coat painters shop. Man is that first helmet turning out amazing! I can't wait to show you guys the quality of the clear coat and the helmet itself when it will be finished. So far he did a few layers of clear and is in the process of adding an orange flakes.

Also gave him the Samurai helmet which I finished today. Will post pics in a couple of days once I get the helmets back. In the meanwhile I got a new helmet form the guy to practice on! :D

I recently took the two helmets I have done to my local guy to get them professionally clearcoated and the guy was so impressed he let me have one of his helmets so I can just have fun with a design. Originally I was going to do a maggot/worm/deform skull type design but decided to do a medusa all over print. In other words her face on the back and snacks wrapped all around the helmet. Here is the sketch.

incredible work bro.i paint cars and bikes, mostly insurance jobs, but i have done a lot of custom body work and a ton of custom paint. i can SO appreciate the detail you put into your work.
and guys 350$ for on of these juys jobs is a great price, just figure if he would charge by the hour.i charge 4 grand just to paint a car and it only takes 16 hours labor, and 48 hours flash time.
i will be gettin ahold of u to do my lid the winter bro. keep up the dedication.

Hey Monkey I might be willing, of course it seems like a ton of work but we can definitely talk about it and see what we can figure out to do.

Well from the top of my mind with the idea I imagine that would work with the greek gods theme I am thinking $400.

I live in Meridian, ID

Also as far as logos go, that one is digital and I do work digitally as that is my job this helmet thing is a side hobby I am getting into. So Yes I would be able to do a logo for you and your dog website or w/e it is you need it for.
