First stunt show ever put on in downtown Toronto

Hey guys just wanted to share some pics from a demo we did on Wed, here in Toronto Canada...Shopsy restaraunt started a Wed night bike night, with the Ontario ChickRiders. And Im good friends with alot of the CR, first night they had a dyno and when the idea of a stunt show came up they reccomend us cause were really the only people here doing this seriously..And I could only get me and my friend Mike to even try stunting in the space they gave us, it actually looks alot better then it is in the pics...It was only 3 cars wide and about 150ft long, and very slanted towards the street...Whatever I wasnt going to pass up the oportunity to stunt at the corner of Yonge and Front st....

As far as I know this is the first time anyone has ever put something like this on, on the side of a busy street in the entertainment district of Toronto..And Im so happy that the response to it so far has been great, its finally getting accepted in our motorcycle comunity up here..Im so used to being hated on by your every day rider, that its strange to read good comments about it on the local fourm...

Just to give you an idea this is right infornt of the Sony Theater in down town Toronto, basically the right in the heart of the city...So there was all kinds of people walking by, cabs stopping in the middle of the raod, suits walking from thier office buildings, etc etc all just amazed that people are doing wheelies in the driveway of the theatre..LOL This was something that has never been done before, and Im so happy I was a part of it....Big thanks to Tim of Shopsys and the Ontario ChickRiders!

I never go to Dover, its a cop filled pose fest....And everyone on the local forums highlight of it, is always the 80 year old man that goes every year and walks around in only a thong....Urmmmmmm no thanks..

Plus that crowd is 90% stunt haters, so I doubt anyone is going to be doing shows there

Oh come on dude! If you lived in TO all your life you should know that ALL of Canada hates you guys. Especially the west coast. I've got nothing against it personally but thought that I'd poke fun and you and your might Leafs team :D All you ever hear over here is TO bashing. I really don't know why it's like that... Why don't you come over this way and check Vancouver out. You'll never go back to -40/+40 weather again.

To be honest the only reason I have not moved is because of job security...I work for my dad, I program and operate CNC machies, but I dropped out of school when I was 17 and learnt this **** myslef...So I have no refernces or qualifacations at all, and would probably never be able to get a decent job anywhere else.....Otherwise Id be outta here in a second, just waiting to hit that lotto 649 jack pot... you know...."Just imagine, what a win could bring".... Ok Im going cry now thanks

i saw that guy, what a nutjob. I like going there to get out of the city, it's cool to check out all the bikes, chill on the beach, and i have a free place to stay cuz i have family in that area. If you rocked streetfighter and did the typical crowd-pleasing tricks, blow tires and maby a motor, they'd love it (100,000 + people there that weekend).

I was born in TO so i don't hate, but I couldn't live there. Winters out east are way to crazy for me. Hell, east of the rockies is too cold for me in winter... I'll just visit in summer when I can go to Dover or roll up to Muskoka and pig out at Webers on the way

edit:
i just got my 649 right now. Ahh to never work again!

Yeah its a party for sure, I just dont think Id make it if I tried to ride the bike down...Probably get locked up half way there, do you know about the new stunting laws here AKA bill 203?...

And why did you have to mention Webers! **** I want one of those burgers so bad right now

Re: First stunt show ever put on in downtown Toronto

haha, sorry. we're a few hours back here and it's lunchtime now so food is on my mind.

I know 203... that sucks! Another fine reason to be out west. Nobody gives a **** what we do for the most part, as long as you just wear a lid and are not blatantly stunting in traffic.

honestly, you might be surprised (of couse CN could be wayyy different)...I know a bunch of people here who are in the same boat as you (myself included) in regards to the self taught CNC stuff and as long as you know your **** you can find good jobs...and actually now that I think about it, I don't think I have ever met anyone who went to any kind of school for CNC or prgramming except for a few engineers that i work with...just throwing the idea out there is all...

oh and good deal on the pics and show...
