Re: XR100R Stuntard in action. Lots of pix.

i'm about 1200 deep right now, but i got a ton of awsome deals. i got an awsome deal on the bike because it had 15 broken rear spokes. i am actually keeping a price list of what i paid for everything in case i sell it or part it out i know what i have into it. its getting a 120cc big bore kit and cbr passenger pegs soon tho which will probably cost me another 300 or so using stock carb. i just want enough power to do good rolling burnouts and have the power to bring it up like i do my cr125 then i'm done.
if you were to build one i would guess.... newer xr100: 800, stage 1 stunt kit: 154.99 + s/h, uni filter: 20, jets: 10, tires & tubes: 120. you may want an easy pull clutch lever, but if i built another bike i would use stock length aftermarket brake levers.

Re: XR100R Stuntard in action. Lots of pix.

i am covering the hand brake, but right now the clutch takes 2 fingers and the hand brake takes 2 fingers. until i get my asv levers i wont be able to do 1 finger, 1 finger. i have an moose easy pull system ordered as a temp fix for the clutch. i think im gonna try out the asv normal length levers for the brakes, and the shorty clutch lever for the clutch.

Re: XR100R Stuntard in action. Lots of pix.

just cut that moose set up down so you can 1 finger clutch 1 finger brake. you should work on slow sitdowns and scrapes now. looking good though

I cut the stock clutch lever down and hit it with one finger on the clutch and 2 on the hb, or none on the hb cuz the hundo has mad engine braking.

my clutch is way harder to pull than it should be. with the moose easy pull system on the avid ad3 lever i can just manage 1 finger pulls. i just started doing 1 finger / 1 finger today, but i still plan on getting an asv lever eventually because this avid lever is just too short for a hand brake.
the 100 does engine brake like crazy tho like ryan said. it makes one handers super easy, and i can come back from 12 without using the handbrake.
i worked on sit downs for a minute today but i have really been working on my slow standup **** more than anything. i am getting pretty close to scraping stand ups now, i think tomorrow i might try some other levers i have sitting around for the handbrake, then hopefully i can nail scrapes and coasters.

i'm pretty sure they are chinese, they are one of the cheaper brands. the tires are actually really good for what i do with the bike. next time i will go with duro tho, they are a sub-company of maxxis and have a little more aggressive tread pattern. not too many companies sell the tire sizes i went with so i didn't have much choice on tires.
