R1 is finally done.
Re: R1 is finally done.
It's not bad at all, I have used a few other dented tanks on other bikes and I like that tank the best of any I've ever sat on...it's like a damn chair up there, spreaders and HC's are disgustingly easy on that thing...all that power doesn't hurt either.
Re: R1 is finally done.
how the hell do you guys do the hb on top?!?! i mean i just dont see how you could rock em both simultaniously(spelling?) and i'm w/ shook! i HATE db bars on sportbikes... just flip some aftermarket clipons!
Re: R1 is finally done.
i 2nd the hb on bottom....specially with all that liter bike power....ull wanna cover clutch and hb, which more ergonomical with hb on bottom of clutch.....good luck tho, sure looks pretty....
Re: R1 is finally done.
I Got the clutch under h/b also i dident want to but thats the only way my H/B (clutch master) would fit close to the clutch so i jus got used to it.... n no i dont use them @ the same time i suck.. (d/b bars are the furthest from gangsta u can get) Stock is Gangsta!

Re: R1 is finally done.
looks sick.. everyone has their preferences i guess... I wanted to do db bars on my 05 636... but wasnt gonna pay for the top clamp... so i flipped and switched my stock clipons and love em!! that tank dent looks deep for sure!! and the hb on top is a little crazy but everyone has their own preference!
Re: R1 is finally done.
I have caught soooooo much flack about that HB on top, I do it B/C when I am covering both (slow stuff on the 05) I used to use my middle finger for the clutch and that's just what I stuck with. I tried usin HB on bottom couldn't even slow down a SS let alone a spreader or HC. It works and I'm stickin with it. As for the DB bars...I LOVE THEM, all the way love them. They increased my stoppies by a land slide of a distance (prolly psycological but increased none the less). That tank is a modern art masterpiece, it's braced with gussets inside and out then sheet metal then bondo to smooth everything out. It's straight up nasty in person, and like i said...it's like a chair up there. It doesn't hurt to jump to it either, maybe cause I'm 6' 165lbs. I'm not throwin a whole lot of weight around....
