messed with it whenever I got bored....guessing about 15 minutes to take off the tires(too lazy to take them off ) then about a total of 30 minutes of spray painting, with about 10 minutes between coats for the ground coats, 30 minutes between ground coat and red(or overnight, or an hour, whenever I got back to it), then of course 10 minutes between each red coat.

The spray painting was fast and easy, and I was mostly riding my 400EX, then stopping every now and then to spray a little, lose interest then go ride some more....and repeat. Everything was done in 2 days, and only messed with it whenever I got bored doing something else.

Now that its done, I'm getting bored again and I want to paint something else, but not sure what yet

Re: New Paint....and an empty frame`

lol....You would be pimpin all right.. I dont know what those trucks get for gas. I have a 92 Toy EXT Cab 4x4 on 32"s and its not great but much better than a full size with same package. Those lil Toys run forever it seems, it would be a good truck to buy used.

What kind of paint is that ur using on ur wheels? It looks pretty good......
Did it lay down good and even or did you wet sand between coats?

Re: New Paint....and an empty frame`

I didn't sand ****!!!!!! Literally wal-mart "metallics" ground coat and "metallics" red...has a red chrome cap. I wiped them off with water, then with a cleaner I had laying around, then with water again. Then 2 coats of ground coat, and 2 coats of red. That was it.

I had an old 1982 Toyota pickup, rear fenders were rusting off, painted it 500 different colors,.....was embarassed to have it then, would KILL to have it back now. I drove EVERYWHERE and filled up an 11 gallon gas tank once to twice every other week!!!

I sold it for $175 in 2000.....would be happy to buy it back for double that now if I found out if the guy still has it!!!!

It was jump a slightly extended cab, with a long bed, 2 wheel drive with little 14-15" stock wheels, and manual transmission with $10 Wal-Mart 8-Ball shifter!!!!! I still want it back!!!

Motor got tired of working, so I fired its *** and hired a new one!!! Had ALOT of hard miles on that motor....rode the **** outta her, skipped a few oil changes,........you know the story. Gonna try and remember to treat the next one nicer!!!

Oh yeah, and 600RR's get oil starved on their right side, especially when they're hot from riding for a few hours.....cylinder 3 told me to F off and quit on me!!!
