Re: stoppie flip :-D

As far as wearing a helmet while riding a bike...that's gay.

But wearing one while stunting is smart. You say you can go 20-25 mph on your bike right...? Ok, so now, go outside, hold your hands behind your back, tilt your head forewards, and let yourself fall straight onto your face. No? Then I doubt you're willing to smash your face into the street at even 10 mph. And sh*t happens, that's why you wear gear. So far, I could have ridden around naked these last 2 years, through all the wheelies and ish...and I'd have been fine. I'd just rather not take that chance.

hey, will this never end?
"stuntin" a mtb is of course dangerous, but by lookin it that way, i'll say that, drivin your car is also, and even quite more dangerous, same when ridin a bike, you don't know what can happens but ****, this is still a bike, of course you can land hard and crash a bad way, it happenned to me lots of times, but head actually never get real damages when stuntin a bike, i've bruised my legs, my arms and other body parts, except the head, so that i prefer wear gloves than a helment, actually, you gotta learn "how to fall" this can seem silly as **** but that's the true, some people can fall, some others can't, i think we're old enough to make our own choices, and that we got our tricks on lock enough not to risk to **** our head up when crashing
i do ride a streetbike every day, never W/O my helmet and a back protection, mainly when stuntin....

Imagine if Petes shoe or shoe laces had gotten caught on his bars as he went over them. He would have face-planted so hard it would have measured on the Richter scale. But lemme guess...he woulda just rolled into a ninja-esque front flip and landed on his feet? That's the point of gear, being prepared for an event you can not control, and cannot foresee. But to each his own, it isn't my head you'll be bouncing off the street, but it will be my laugh being heard when it happens...provided the person is ok.

As I said, it was my opinion. But saying you have your tricks down well enough to where you'll never get phucked up is retarded. Even the best riders still do and always will eat it once in a while, usually from something unexpected, and no amount of experience can protect you from what can happen so suddenly. Imagine if Petes shoe or shoe laces had gotten caught on his bars as he went over them. He would have face-planted so hard it would have measured on the Richter scale. Imagine if i back outta my drive way and some old lady T-bones me going 60 mph

that **** happened to my sister driving what you prolly drove to work!!!

40,000 americans die each each in car accidents! and here you are driving your car without wearing your leathers and lid!!

i eat it all the time man, when i was 10 i was riding down a hill as fast as i can, and somehow the front tire locked, i went right over my bike, landed on my FACE, and the had my bike run over me.

i bleed and i bruised....i healed up...

i'm afriad the chances of my shoelaces (always double knotted) catching my handle bars is prolly less than me getting struck by lightening.

ask soad here on the forums about smacking ont he ground, he was going about 10-15 mph, with dragging his feet in his spokes, they grabbed, he fliped and landed on his hands and face....

that's the trick, like tigroo said there is a way to fall, a dumbass way is to land head first.......the only time this happens is when you CANNOT have something else contact the ground first...

i land left foot first, then right foot, then right hand and roll over my back. i've thought it threw over and over AND put it to the test over and over.

seriosuly dude, i think that you don't give two ***** about what happens to me....just looking for a reason to hate

na scared of it too hahaha, don't know why
my seat can be locked on two positions, a high and a low one, it's made not to get the seat in your *** in the moutain downhills, and it's pretty efficient, avoided me to crash lots of time when i rode in the woods, but now it's just another position for the circles.
bout seat angulation, mine is also fixed so that it be "horizontal" when makin wheelies, actually helps a lot :YEAH

Yeah angling the seat downwards helps more then you can imagine. It makes wheelies comfortable and your hands dont start to hurt after a while. I helps with just about everything.....

Dude...how you think I'm hating is beyond me, but whatever. And yes, I know about falling correctly, I've done it several times myself. But people like to assume they're the sh*t and will never fall in a way they can't prevent from hitting head first, or that they'll never have something bad happen like a pedal fall off (seen it) and eat their handle bars. Keep doing your thing, have fun at it, and I honesly do hope you never get seriously hurt. But IF you do a faceplant and lose some teeth...don't whine or complain about it on here, I'll just laugh at you.

the fact is that we know very well what are the risks, what can happen to us, AND I KNOW CRASHING HURTS, just had two big crashes in the past month on my streetbike, each time i was ridin with my helmet, trousers, shoes holdin well my feets, gloves and a back protection, if i didn't i wouldn't be here writin it and postin pics.
Maybe you(re not hatein, i hope so, but they're so many peeps over there talkin **** and thinkin they can give lessons, as i said, we know what we do, what kinda **** can happen, and reading peeps that keep on arguing about that starts being a bit boring to me, just my

Re: stoppie flip :-D

Like tig said, anyone doing this understands the risk, and the only two tricks that i really fear serious injury on are stoppies, and of course HC's.

LOL, coincidentaly... one of which you just posted pictures of you crashing during. But who cares? I'm just boring if I try and say anything other than "neat-o", so I'll go away. Honestly...I don't know why I even looked at this thread. Bicycles are a little bit '8-years ago when I was broke' for me. And make sure when you finally get a big bike...that you are so self confident you never wear a lid. I mean hey...a wheelie is just going fast in a straight line right? No need for a lid there either, not for a know-how-to-fall self confident super stunter pimp. Just tuck and roll, the rest will buff out.

Re: stoppie flip :-D

see there ya go man, talking down and you don't even know me.

if you knew me, you'd know that for big bikes i'm pretty much for decent gear, not really a jacket for slow stuff, but back protector or something along those lines.

BTW, i flip stoppies all the time, maybe you had a shread of experience on this subject you'd know what i mean (quite obivously you don't)

also, i didn't post pictures of a HC crash, i've never crashed a HC or even came very close to it

this is a HC:

anywho, you can go ahead and look like a power ranger on a 10 speed if you want, that's just not me
