Re: new powers cages for 636

i had a powers cage on my 954. it did its job, i find the FI cage now to be sleeker, just as good, but less shin destroyal to me. they all get in your shins, you get used to it.

good stuff!!!

there is no problem with hitting your shins, im 6' and i haven't hit mine once!

Matt has his new shop now and things should be going smoother than ever now!

PowersSTUNTworx cages are THE STRONGEST cages on the market right now!!! We have STILL yet to even bend one, except for Ed from a 45mph streetcrash. He tapped the bar lightly (yes on purpose) and the subframe disintegrated ('04 GSXR 750) and the bike kicked straight to the side, IT HAMMERED the ground (never hit the wheels, went straight to the cage from 12 at 45mph!!!!!!!!) and rolled over, ALL that happened was the cage bent in LESS THAN ONE INCH, i was shocked, couldn't believe ANYTHING could stand up to that!!!!!!

Re: new powers cages for 636

that's pretty impressive for a hit like that. my 905 bent rather wickedly after a few small hits on the honda. haven't tested the FI yet.

Good lookin work though for this cage, impressive.

Re: new powers cages for 636

Much better!!!!! Im pissed now cause I think I should get a discount on the new one or something. My powers cage broke my oil pan 3 times and got so bent outta shape. And that was 3 for 3 everytime it fell on the left side it would bent in and crack the oil pan.

Re: new powers cages for 636

thats why he redesigned it went with the plate under the bottom ,thicker pipe, and more cross bracing. you can see it from the pics but the bottom plate is 2" wide and about 3/8" thick no flex there so you shouldnt get that side to side movement

Re: new powers cages for 636

Called him today to get one, he was all excited about how hes back on his feet and talkin about the new design and how fast he'll get it out to me. Should be here by the end of next week along with some new spool sliders he reccommended that are suppose to be the whip and help protect the rear sets. He hooked it up, (really cool guy, by far the coolest guy in the cage business hes really into what his customers think about his product) cant wait to get this cage to try it out.

Re: new powers cages for 636

all the problem he had are worked out now and they are in full production mode now they finished all the jigs and have sent many cages to the powder coaters so turn around time should be quick post back up when you get your cage. p.s. dont tighten any of the bolts till you have all of them started a couple of threads. leave them real loose and i will go right on.
