Video Clip of the wreck

Watch it a couple of times. Wacth the guy that hit Bullet Proof. After he made contact I thought he did a good job not wrecking the bike into the crowd. Given what he was I thought he did a great job not hurting anyone else. I feel he was not at fault.

Yes, he did a great job. I'm sure everybody standing over there was grateful. Damn...seeing it makes my stomach turn..No sound can stop you in your tracks quite like the sound of a bike accident. I couldn't see it; I was only about 30 feet away, but I heard it and kinda froze. Prayers for Tyler for sure.

Re: Video Clip of the wreck

My prayers go out to this kid Tyler as well, I've never met him but the exact same thing happened to me earlier this summer.Another rider doing about 60 hit me when I was coming to a stop, and his frame slider tore my leg up. I suffered a broken fibula, broken ankle, torn acl and mcl, and tore muscles in my thumb when i fell...

This accident looked exactly like mine, in fact it gave me nightmares too watch it, and I still have nightmares about the wreck from the sudden violence of it, and I really hate to see it happen to anyone else.

I don't have alot of money right now due to all my medical bills, but i will donate as soon as possible, but i do own an custom bike shop in PA, and if theres anything i can do with that to help tyler and his family out, someone please let me know. I'm willing to do all I can, having your leg jacked like that is hell, so someone please let me know if theres anything we can provide.

Thank you and Godspeed on your recovery Tyler

Prayers to the rider. We had a similar thing happen on a ride this summer. One of the team did a stoppie in traffic and the noob behind hit him doing 30.

Anyone notice a trait in this thread?? Maybe we should screen riders that are allowed access to the event and practice spots. Seem every team has a "this happened to us too" story.

Most of the riders there pretty much knew what they were doing. The others would've done fine with proper coaching. It was dayrl's "god like" mentality that cause so many near crashes and the actual crash between tyler and rick.

Of course, I wasn't there during the crash. The only evidence I have is by testimonies and the video that was posted. Regardless of the other riders actions, I have no doubt in my mind that dayrl was asleep at the switch. I know someone who specializes in accident investigations. I'll take my findings plus whatever other evidence I can get to him and we'll find out EXACTLY what happened that caused this event so it can be avoided in the future. So if anyone's got more video/pictures of the crash let me know.

Re: Video Clip of the wreck

Thanks for posting the video Matt. I seen the whole thing but it happened so fast that it blurred my thoughts. Seeing it only makes me know that what I saw was exactly that.

I think there was many things that lead to the wreck all which could have been avoided. In life we are going to make mistakes and hopefully we learn from them and move on. I have made my mind up on the causes of the wreck but I am not the judge or the jury so I will just keep my opinion to myself. It happened and no one can change that fact. We must move on and find ways to try and aviod that type of accident from happening again.

Re: Video Clip of the wreck

Hope he gets well soon. As for the blame. No one. Everytime I wheelie or any stunt I know I have a fair chance of getting hurt badly. That is the chance we take just riding normal on a motorcycle, let alone doing dangerous stunts we all love. Should there have been a better system, ya probably. And people need to cross the road, it wasn't like Darryl ran out in the middle of the road at warp speed. It looked as though he was crossing very slowly and waving people down. This is a very unfortunate accident that we all need to learn from. I say leave it at what it is, an very unfortunate accident and use are energy for best wishes to the rider.
