Question Just Curious?

Read in other forums that f4i's are known for tank slaps Was wondering y they are more known for that than other bikes?

I alway's heard Yami's were the worst. My R1 was notorious for that sh*t! If your worried about it, invest in a damper. Best decision I made!!!

but anyway was just wondering if anybody knew y (mechanically) they tank slap, yes also realize a damper will, plan on buying one soon as i get my bike back. Any suggestions on a good one for F4i?

cause you set down a whoolie with the wheel turned too far left or right (c o c k e d) thats why people get tank slap............

that would make sense my front tire at the time was cuped pretty bad too. thanx:YEAH

Yes, hitting the brakes is the worst thing you an do in that situation. You have to ride it out.

929 and 954 are more proned to it then the 600's oh and r1s are the worst for it. You can get one under heavy acceleration in which the front end becomes light.

I'v only had one ever on a 929 without a stabilzer, I was lucky cause it stopped on its own, but it was full out side to side motion.

i had one on my r1 and that **** was wild!!! i seen when brian v got one pretty bad i thought he was done for sure but he pulled out of it!! he was on an r1 also...yamahas are the worst for that s hit!
