Video Editing Software
Re: Video Editing Software
First buy an Apple then get Final Cut Pro.
As for Plug-ins for After Effects, Sapphire from Gen Arts is my favorite.
Also check out Boris Continum Complete and Magic Bullet, I don't really like them but I know about 100 editors/graphic artists who love them.
Digi Effects and RE:Vision Effects are a little dated but pretty cool.
And Knoll Light Factory kicks *** for lens flares.
Nattress Effects are real cheap but I don't know if they are available for PC.
I usually buy direct from the manufacturer but I think Toolfarm.com will work out

you can put any data file on a dvd but for playing in a dvd player you'll need like dvdx or a program on that line
Re: Video Editing Software
Ok well I edited a video on my pc, but I was told That I had to have it converted from cdr to dvd and I don't know how to do it. is it possible to take that crd disk and upload it to a pc with a dvd burner then burn it to dvd? please forgive me if I sound like a moron when explaining this.
Re: Video Editing Software
save to the cd as a quicktime, full res, 720X480, highest quality. I think you can get 3-3.5 minutes per cd. then have the pc w/ the DVD burner convert the video. Also you could probably compress your original edit to mpeg 2, burn to cd, import into pc w/ dvd burn and create DVD, probably wont be as easy as the first option but might work. Finally if you could output your edit to tape via firewire then recapture the material on tape via firewire to the pc w the burner that would be the best/quickest way to do it

Re: Video Editing Software
i have adobe premiere pro 2.0 does someone know where i can get more dvd menus . i also have pinnacle studio and does any one have plug ins for either one . please i need some video editing help.
Re: Video Editing Software
Well, just go with adobe products. If you want to work in a team Premiere is pretty much the best option possible. And if you want to do some 3D stuff go with 3dS max and Maya. You can buy all of these products for a good price as well. Just buy used software here . Everything you need is there.
