Thanks To Everyone

I would like to Thank all of you who made this possible this year and appoligize to those that I was a complete *** to. Competitors, fans, and all of those who land somewhere in between. As for next year it remains a ? do I want to stress myself and all of my friends out for a free thing. Probably not (diffenatly not) things are going to have to change. I am bouncing a ton of ideas around for promoting this along with a ton more. So any and all ideas are helpful. Again THANK YOU ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Thanks To Everyone

First off, thanks for putting the show on every year. I know you guys put a lot into and that is great.

The only thing that pops into my mind for future dates is that GLD is a good spot and relatively close to Milwaukee but if there was a venue In milwaukee you would think that you could get a lot more casual fans/new fans to come. I know that there aren't any drag strips in the area and I imagine getting something like the Milwaukee Mile would be expensive and difficult but you never know.

Thanks for getting me that $100 check.
To bad some idiot ran me over in the parking lot getting the checks while I was sitting on my 50...kinda funny in a way.

If you change anything up make sure you find me a spot!!

Or any music for that. Next year is going to be way better Veg has some audio that we can borrow for a low cost. I also am thinking of adding a atv freestyle class that pays out to 4th place. just to add variety it shouldn't add no more than 45 min to the program and maybe that will put more butts in the seats also.

Re: Thanks To Everyone

every news channel from milwaukee should be invited to this event.....next question.....were they called??? how about the milwaukee journal sentinal??? were they invited????

free press.....it costs big money to advertise in a newspaper, you should take advantage of the times you can do it for free.....plus, riders will put on a better show when they are competing for that front page SICK shot that thousands will see.......

not hating, downgrading or anything like that....i'm just trying to figure out why nobody ever shows up to this event in large numbers.

Re: Thanks To Everyone

They dont show up because no one really knows about this sport. Need to have something at the comp that the general public is framiliar with. Then you will draw them into the freestyle world. Thats why i suggest freestyle motorcross. The 2 worlds seem to go hand in hand. Hell it worked pretty well at the US Celllular arena last year. Why not invite them to our shows like they did for us? Just a suggestion.

Re: Thanks To Everyone

Plenty of room for some jumps between the return road and the track..... Might not be a bad idea.

Re: Thanks To Everyone

Maybe even add a Vert Ramp with a bike, skateboard, and rollerblade comp. Could bill it as an extreme sports comp. The only way this event will grow is going to have to come from outside interests. MOst of the people that like extreme sports such as FMX and vert stuff are gonna dig the Freestyle sportbikes, they just need to be exposed to it.

Hell could even go as far as to add a Harley stunt class. In WI that will draw a crowd all by it self. May even get interest from Harley dealerships. Show them the pics from Section8's Fred. I know they made me enjoy watching stunting a bit more.

Bottom line, I dont think just advertising the sportbike competition is gonna draw a crowd. Variety is gonna be the key to drawing any kind of respectable crowd in WI.

I am more then willing to help out on any of this. I will get the FMX guys and the vert guys. I have a few contacts at Harley dealerships that I could call. We need to lock down a track that isnt gonna try and screw us in the process. Maybe the Kaukana track would work sweet. I am sure Section8 would help us lock that up.

These are all suggestions. I am at work and have to much time to think. I am done now.

I know there's plenty of Quad freestylers in the Racine area, Get a Ramp show going on in the grass. And invite the moto gang out to play!

Re: Thanks To Everyone

wouldn't there be too many liability issues involved in something like that?

Re: Thanks To Everyone

I am pretty much thinking a waiver could handle most of the liability issues.
